1. Il Cloud Computing
Il cloud computing è un modello di elaborazione che abilita un accesso in rete, su richiesta, ubiquo e conveniente a un pool di risorse di calcolo (CPU, storage, reti, sistemi operativi, servizi e/o applicazioni) condivise e configurabili che possono essere acquisite e rilasciate rapidamente e in modo dinamico con uno sforzo di gestione minimo, o comunque con un’interazione minima con il fornitore del servizio.


2. Modelli di servizio
Il cloud computing prevede tre modelli di servizio principali:
  • Software as a Service (SaaS) in cui il cloud fornisce servizi (applicazioni) che vengono utilizzati direttamente dall’utente finale;
  • Platform as a Service (PaaS) in cui il cloud fornisce servizi che sono piattaforme runtime, che supportano l’esecuzione di programmi (ad es., una piattaforma per l’esecuzione di applicazioni web) ed in cui l’utente è uno sviluppatore di applicazioni per quella piattaforma;
  • Infrastructure as a Service (IaaS) in cui il cloud fornisce servizi infrastrutturali – come server (CPU e sistemi operativi), storage e connettività ed in cui l’utente è uno sviluppatore o un amministratore di sistema per un’infrastruttura che va configurata.

Battista is an IT technician and also an electronic engineer specializing in industrial automation, he is keen on artificial intelligence and is an expert in artificial vision. For over three years he has been a proposal engineer at Mer Mec S.p.A. Previously, for the same company and for a duration of twelve years, he held the position of designer of artificial vision systems. He is a supporter of lifelong learning, social networking and knowledge sharing through the web. He is the author of the interdisciplinary blog Tateo ~ Blog.
| IT | Battista è un perito tecnico informatico ed anche un ingegnere elettronico con specializzazione in automazione industriale, è appassionato di intelligenza artificiale ed è un esperto di visione artificiale. Da oltre tre anni ricopre il ruolo di proposal engineer presso Mer Mec S.p.A. Precedentemente, per la stessa azienda e per una durata di dodici anni, ha ricoperto il ruolo di progettista di sistemi di visione artificiale.
