È possibile un nuovo approccio all’insegnamento e all’apprendimento con l’ausilio dei mattoncini Lego, che riesca a preparare i giovani di oggi ad un mondo che è in continua evoluzione? Ci si è resi conto che il buon rendimento scolastico non sempre garantisce il necessario spirito creativo ed innovativo necessario per avere successo nella società di oggi. Correre rischi e provare cose nuove sono le competenze richieste oggi per avere successo.

It has been realized that good academic performance does not always guarantee the necessary creative and innovative spirit necessary to be successful in today's society. Perché la LEGO? Perché quando i bambini giocano con i mattoncini LEGO esplorano, sperimentano e sondano continuamente i limiti, sviluppando il pensiero creativo.

[EN/ Why LEGO? Because when children play with LEGO bricks, they are continually exploring, experimenting and probing the limits, developing creative thinking.]

Oggi il cambiamento e lo sviluppo del pensiero creativo è necessario più che mai perché il mondo del lavoro, ma anche la vita privata, è in continua e rapida evoluzione.

Un aspetto innovativo nella vita dei giovani di oggi è la tecnologia. Le nuove tecnologie certamente costituiscono un’opportunità, però nella maggior parte dei casi non sono utilizzate per favorire il pensiero creativo. Anche l’uso efficace di questa leva è importante per rincorrere in modo costruttivo la creatività e l’innovazione.

  Idee su come dovrebbe essere l’insegnamento nel XXI secolo. L’autore Mitchel Resnick è il fondatore del gruppo di ricerca Lifelong Kindergarten del MIT di Boston, e creatore del linguaggio di programmazione Scratch, il celebre linguaggio di programmazione utilizzato dai bambini per realizzare contenuti multimediali interattivi.

   [EN/ Ideas about what teaching should be like in the 21st century. The author Mitchel Resnick is the founder of the Lifelong Kindergarten research group at MIT in Boston, and creator of the programming language Scratch, the famous programming language used by children to create interactive multimedia content.]

   Nella società in cui viviamo la creatività, ossia la capacità di sviluppare idee originali e di valore, è tra le abilità più richieste, ed il modo migliore per impararla e mantenerla è continuare a immaginare, creare, giocare, condividere e riflettere… proprio come fa un bambino. La creatività è un processo pratico che consiste nel mettere in pratica l’immaginazione.

   [EN/ In the society in which we live, creativity, i.e. the ability to develop original and valuable ideas, is among the most requested skills, and the best way to learn and maintain it is to continue to imagine, create, play, share and reflect… just like a child.   Resnick indaga sulla relazione esistente tra la creatività e la tecnologia, ovvero sugli effetti benefici che gli strumenti messi a disposizione dalla rivoluzione digitale, se usati in modo opportuno, hanno sulla creatività. Questa visione è rivoluzionaria in quanto si è sempre pensato che la creatività fosse una esclusiva delle discipline artistiche.

   [EN/ Resnick investigates the relationship between creativity and technology, or the beneficial effects that the tools made available by the digital revolution, if used appropriately, have on creativity. This vision is revolutionary as it has always been thought that creativity was exclusive to the artistic disciplines.]
