The current world incessantly asks us to tell our stories, using both text and images. In such a competitive work environment as the current one, knowing how to narrate, and knowing how to do it effectively, has now become a matter of survival. 

Il mondo attuale ci chiede incessante di raccontarci, utilizzando sia il testo che le immagini. In un ambiente del lavoro così competitivo come quello corrente saper narrare, e saperlo fare in modo efficace, è diventata ormai una questione di sopravvivenza. 

And we are not just talking about the aesthetic aspect, which can be useful in writing a book. We are talking about those practices that allow for concrete benefits in business, web reputation, and personal branding. In fact, storytelling has become our "signature" in the current era characterized by social media, digital and online communication, continuous and permanent connection to communication networks.

E non parliamo soltanto dell’aspetto estetico, che può essere utile per scrivere un libro. Stiamo parlando di quelle pratiche che permetto di ottenere benefici concreti nel business, nel web reputation e nel personal branding. Infatti la narrazione è diventata la nostra “firma” nell’era corrente caratterizzata dai media sociali, dalla comunicazione digitale ed online, dalla connessione continua e permanente alle reti di comunicazione.

This is why storytelling constitutes one of the most important skills for everyone today, not only in the professional sphere, but also as social consumers and citizens. Today, at work and in life, you either know how to narrate or you are out. Storytelling is a wonderful and powerful tool for creating value, improving performance, and reaching people's hearts . So if you don't adapt to this new format, you end up suffering what others decide, think, and tell.

Per questo motivo la narrazione costituisce oggi una delle competenze più importanti per tutti, non solo in ambito professionale, ma anche come consumatori sociali e cittadini. Oggi, sul lavoro e nella vita, o sai raccontare o sei fuori. La narrazione è uno strumento meraviglioso e potente per creare valore, migliorare le performance, e raggiungere il cuore delle persone . Quindi se non ci si adatta a questo nuovo format si finisce per subire quello che gli altri decidono, pensano e raccontano.

Today all this is easily achievable thanks to the spread of new information and communication technologies. In fact, by means of the application of information technology to the management of the plants, an attempt is made to embody, replace and optimize that control which until now was almost the exclusive prerogative of man.

Oggi tutto ciò è facilmente realizzabile grazie alla diffusione delle nuove tecnologie informatiche e di comunicazione. Infatti per mezzo dell'applicazione dell'informatica alla gestione degli impianti si tenta di incarnare, sostituire ed ottimizzare quel controllo che fino ad oggi era prerogativa quasi esclusiva dell'uomo. 

Anyone who cares about the issues of cost reduction, comfort and safety has always worked hard to turn off unnecessary lights; to plan the use of household appliances in the economic consumption ranges; to close doors and windows when the heating or air conditioning of the rooms is on; to activate the alarm system when you leave the house and to deactivate it when you return home; to water the lawn in the evening, but only if it hasn't rained.

Chiunque abbia a cuore i temi della riduzione dei costi, del comfort e della sicurezza si è sempre prodigato a spegnere le luci superflue; a pianificare l'uso degli elettrodomestici nelle fasce di consumo economiche; a chiudere porte e finestre quando è in funzione il riscaldamento o il condizionamento degli ambienti; ad attivare il sistema di allarme quando si esce da casa ed a disattivarlo quando si rincasa; ad irrigare il prato la sera, ma soltanto se non ha piovuto.

Osserverete che quotidianamente impieghiamo gran parte del nostro tempo e delle nostre energie per eseguire un gran numero di controlli ed azioni sull'ambiente che ci circonda. Vi piacerebbe se qualcuno lo facesse al posto vostro? Vi piacerebbe se questo qualcuno riuscisse a farlo anche meglio di voi? Vi piacerebbe che questo qualcuno fosse reperibile sempre ed in qualsiasi posto voi siate, per rendicontare lo stato degli impianti o per ricevere nuove disposizioni? No, non stiamo di certo parlando di una famosa lampada da strofinare, bensì di una nuova disciplina a cui è stato dato il nome di “domotica”.

Image Processing is a useful practice to perform some operations on a digital image, in order to get an enhanced image, or to extract some useful information from it for specific purposes. From the mathematical point of view, Image Processing is a type of signal processing in which input is an image and output may be image or a characteristics/features associated with input image. 

L'elaborazione delle immagini (Image Processing in lingua inglese) è una pratica utile per eseguire alcune operazioni su un'immagine digitale, al fine di ottenere un'immagine migliorata, o per estrarne alcune informazioni utili per scopi specifici. Dal punto di vista matematico, Image Processing è un tipo di elaborazione del segnale in cui l'ingresso è un'immagine e l'uscita può essere un'immagine o una caratteristica/caratteristica associata all'immagine di ingresso.

Data, the “new oil” of the modern times.

I Dati, il “nuovo petrolio” dei tempi moderni.

The rapid evolution of technology is significantly affecting the economy and the value of things. A distinctive consequence of new electronic and information technologies is the production and availability of huge volumes of data. Well, this new resource constitutes the new form of value in the modern economy that replaces the resources that in the past held the supremacy. It is no coincidence that the data are now defined as "new oil"

La rapida evoluzione della tecnologia sta sensibilmente condizionando l'economia ed il valore delle cose. Una conseguenza distintiva delle nuove tecnologie elettroniche ed informatiche è la produzione e disponibilità di enormi volumi di dati. Ebbene, questa nuova risorsa costituisce la nuova forma di valore nella moderna economia che sostituisce le risorse che nel passato hanno detenuto il primato. Non a caso i dati sono definiti oggi come "new oil".

Learning and study.

Apprendimento e studio.

It is erroneously believed that the only scape of the study is to train us to be able to do a certain job. Instead, the benefits of studying go far beyond the need to seek a job. The study enriches and stimulates new curiosities, gives the right sensitivity to the world around us, making us unique and interesting people.

In fact, from the etymological point of view, the word "study" derives from the word "studeo" in Latin, which means "to apply oneself, to be interested in". So studying is taking an interest in what is around us, discovering and doing our own new things.

Erroneamente si ritiene che l'unico scapo dello studio sia quello di formarci per essere in grado di svolgere un determinato lavoro. Invece i benefici dello studio vanno ben oltre la necessità della ricerca di una occupazione lavorativa. Lo studio arricchisce e stimola nuove curiosità, conferisce la giusta sensibilità verso il mondo che ci circonda, rendendoci delle persone uniche ed interessanti.

Infatti dal punto di vista etimologico la parola "studio", deriva dalla parola "studeo" in latino, che significa “applicarsi, interessarsi a “. Quindi studiare è interessarsi di quello che ci sta attorno, scoprire e fare nostre cose nuove.

Credibility, brand and ability to influence on Social Media.

Credibilità, brand e capacità di influenzare sui Social Media.

Credibility is a perceived quality, i.e. an assessment that is based on multiple dimensions, including reliability and experience. Trustworthiness refers to ethics and depends on how well-meaning and sincere you are perceived. Experience, on the other hand, refers to the knowledge and skills that one possesses.

It is necessary to identify the way to communicate in the most effective way the reason why a customer should choose us, preferring us to a myriad of competitors.

La credibilità è una qualità percepita, cioè una valutazione che si basa su molteplici dimensioni, tra cui l'affidabilità e l'esperienza. L'affidabilità fa riferimento all'etica e dipende da quanto si viene percepiti benintenzionati e sinceri. L'esperienza invece fa riferimento alle conoscenze e competenze che si possiedono.

Occorre individuare il modo per comunicare nella maniera più efficace la ragione per cui un cliente dovrebbe sceglierci, preferendo noi ad una miriade di concorrenti.

Today the contents on the web are not created only by companies who want to advertise their products, but are created by passionate writers, bloggers, online magazines and by the users themselves who externalize and judge by means of e-commerce platforms or social networks. .

And furthermore, a new profession has even been born, the so-called “influencer” who is a professional content creator. For this reason, creating content on the web today is a real challenge as it becomes increasingly difficult to channel the interest of one's catchment area. There are so many ways to search and access information that it becomes impossible to identify the ideal channel to use to more effectively capture the interest of the recipients of our work.

Oggi i contenuti sul web non sono creati soltanto dalle aziende che vogliono pubblicizzare i loro prodotti, ma sono creati da appassionati scrittori, blogger, magazine online e dagli stessi utenti che attraverso esternano e giudicano per mezzo le piattaforme di e-commerce oppure i social network. 

Ed inoltre, è nata addirittura una nuova professione, il cosiddetto “influencer” che è un creatore professionista di contenuti. Per questo motivo creare contenuti oggi sul web è una vera e propria sfida in quanto diventa sempre più difficile incanalare l’interesse del proprio bacino di utenza. Le modalità di ricerca ed accesso alle informazioni sono così tante che diventa impossibile individuare il canale ideale da utilizzare per catturare in modo più efficace l’interesse dei destinatari del nostro elaborato.

Ma come si fa a creare contenuti di interesse? Innanzitutto bisogna mettere da parte l’ego, ed anzi bisogna costruire il contenuto a misura sull’utente o sulla classe di utenti che abbiamo scelto come i destinatari del messaggio, cercando di far vivere al fruitore del contenuto un'esperienza quanto più personalizzata.

Ovviamente, affinché la nostra comunicazione sia efficace e riscuota successo occorre essere consapevoli dei bisogni e delle aspettative del bacino di utenza destinatario del nostro elaborato. Altrimenti i nostri sforzi saranno tutti vani. 

Before even working on the content of our message, it is good to work on the "perception" that our contents and our identity in general are able to convey. In fact, before accessing the content, users must trust the author, understand the advantages they would have in reading its content, understand the value and reliability of the content, perceive the ethics, style and passion that you put into it. in your work. 

Prima ancora di lavorare sul contenuto del nostro messaggio è bene lavorare sulla “percezione” che i nostri contenuti e la nostra identità  in generale riesce a trasmettere. Infatti, prima di accedere al contenuto, gli utenti devono fidarsi dell’autore, comprendere i vantaggi che avrebbero nel leggere i suoi contenuto, comprendere il valore e l’affidabilità dei contenuti, percepire l’etica, lo stile e la passione che ci metti nel tuo lavoro. 

Creativity does not hurt because it amazes and attracts attention, but it is the brand that builds user loyalty. The brand makes sure that your elaborate or your product occupies a reserved space in the mind of the observer. The brand ensures that when the user thinks of a product of the same type as the one offered by you, the image of your product materializes in his mind.

La creatività non guasta perché stupisce ed attrae l’attenzione, ma è il brand che fidelizza l’utente. Il brand fa si che il tuo elaborato o il tuo prodotto occupi ano spazio riservato nella mente di chi ti osserva. Il brand fa si che quando l’utente pensa ad un prodotto dello stesso tipo di quello offerto da te, nella sua mente si materializzi  proprio l’immagine del tuo prodotto.

Human-Machine interface.

Interfaccia Uomo-Macchina.

  The Human-Machine Interface (HMI) is that set of hardware devices or software applications that are interposed between a (human) user and a machine and that allow the user to use the machine , that is, to issue commands and use the services. Over time and with the evolution of technology for the creation of human-machine interfaces, electronic devices are increasingly used. The ambitious and challenging objective that is pursued is that of increasingly reducing the gap between man and machine, obviously in favor of man, by improving the usability of electronic devices.

  L’Interfaccia Uomo-Macchina IUM (in inglese Human-Machine Interface, HMI) è quell'insieme di dispositivi hardware o di applicazioni software che si interpongono tra un utente (umano) ed una macchina e che permettono all'utente di utilizzare la macchina, ossia di impartire i comandi e fruire dei servizi. Col passare del tempo e con l'evolversi della tecnologia per la realizzazione di interfacce uomo-macchina si fa uso sempre più diffuso di dispositivi elettronici. L'obiettivo ambizioso e sfidante che si persegue è quello di ridurre sempre più il gap tra l'uomo e la macchina, ovviamente a favore dell'uomo, attraverso il miglioramento dell'usabilità dei dispositivi elettronici.
