The author of this interesting essay on creativity, Mitchel Resnick, is one of the leading experts in educational technologies, is a lecturer in Learning Research at the Media Lab of the Massachusetts Institute of Technology (MIT) in Boston, where he directs the Lifelong Kindergarten research group and holds the LEGO® Chair. Engaged in the creation of tools and activities that promote creative learning through new technologies, he collaborated with his team on the development of the LEGO® MINDSTORMS® robotics kit and created Scratch, the famous programming language used by boys and girls of around the world to create interactive multimedia content.

The current school system is not suited to meet the needs of a changing society. to be successful in today's society it is necessary to have a creative and innovative spirit, that is, one must be willing to take risks and try new things, to define problems rather than just solving those proposed. Cathy Davidson in her book "Now You See" estimates that about two-thirds of children attending primary school today will go to jobs that have not yet been invented.
