La vita artificiale. Man has always questioned the nature of life and the processes that characterize living organisms, to understand how, through evolutionary processes, life forms have reached their current complexity, albeit starting from the primordial soup of unicellular life forms. The extensive use of electronic computers and of simulation and evolutionary computing programs (genetic algorithms, genetic programming, swarm intelligence, ant colony optimization), agent-based models and cellular automata have allowed to scholars to observe the behavior of real organisms and ecosystems. From this interaction between simulation , evolutionary research and computer science arises the Artificial Life (or Alife from its abbreviation). L’uomo da sempre si è interrogato sulla natura della vita e dei processi che caratterizzano gli organismi viventi, per comprendere come, attraverso i processi evolutivi, l...
