Among the precursors of the use of Augmented Reality we can mention two famous brands: the well-known manufacturer of Lego bricks, and the British distribution group Tesco which, even long before the spread of smartphones and tablets, used interactive installations to prevent customers more curious they opened the packages. Lego has used Augmented Reality to better understand the use of the game contained in the box, realizing the concept of "smart packaging". In a dedicated corner of the shop, having the package framed by a dedicated kiosk, it was possible to see a trailer starting on the attached monitor containing, in the form of animation, the personages involved in the selected box.
