Intelligenza e razionalità.
We are usually used to considering the two terms synonymous, but being intelligent and being rational are not two skills that necessarily coincide. Rationality, unlike intelligence, indicates the propensity for reflective thinking.
{Usualmente siamo abituati a considerare i due termini sinonimi, ma essere intelligenti ed essere razionali non sono due competenze che necessariamente coincidono. La razionalità, a differenza della intelligenza, indica la propensione al pensiero riflessivo.}
Intelligence and meme. Being intelligent means using reason and experience to always be aware and promoters of one's choices and actions, avoiding being conditioned by the models disseminated through modern persuasion techniques.

Intelligence is used to defend ourselves, for example, from the memes spread on the net through modern viral marketing practices. Practices with which companies try to standardize their sales, and politics, religion and even the new terrorist fringes try to spread their ideas.

A meme is a unit of information capable of replicating itself from one mind or medium to another mind or medium; an idea that persuades, influences, convinces ... without anyone noticing its presence. A meme is like a virus that spreads by contagion
{Un meme è un'unità di informazione in grado di replicarsi da una mente o supporto ad un’altra mente o supporto; un’idea che persuade, influenza, convince… senza che nessuno si accorga della sua presenza. Un meme è come un virus che si propaga per contagio.}
Rational Quotient. Recent studies have shown that a person with a high IQ is just as likely to fall into logic errors, such as "cognitive fallacies", as someone with a low IQ. Plus: A 2008 study would show that people with high IQs are even more prone to the conjunction fallacy. For this reason, the concept of Rational Quotient, or QR, was therefore introduced; while the IQ measures raw intelligence (abstract reasoning and verbal ability), the QR would translate the propensity for reflective thinking, or the ability to take a step back from our usual way of thinking to correct defective tendencies.

Recenti studi hanno dimostrato che una persona con un alto Quoziente Intellettivo (QI) ha le stesse probabilità di cadere in errori di logica, come per esempio la "fallacie cognitive", di una con un QI basso. In più: uno studio del 2008 dimostrerebbe che le persone con un elevato QI sono addirittura più inclini alla fallacia della congiunzione. Per tale ragione è stato dunque introdotto il concetto di Quoziente Razionale, o QR; mentre il QI misura l’intelligenza grezza (ragionamento astratto e capacità verbale) il QR tradurrebbe la propensione al pensiero riflessivo, ovvero la capacità di fare un passo indietro rispetto al nostro modo di pensare usuale per correggere le tendenze difettose.}
