MATRIMONI FORZATI, MITO O REATA’?

[EN/ FORCED MARRIAGES, MYTH OR FACT?]

#marriage #Europe #business #love #parents #TILLL #TateoBlog

[EN/ In the ancient European tradition, marriage was experienced as a drama, because once upon a time, even in Europe as in all ancient societies, it was the parents who chose.]

[EN/ Families were very extensive: grandparents, children and grandchildren lived under the same roof, so marriage was a business on which the well-being of the entire extended family depended. Marriage rather than as a gesture of love was understood as a business, so much so that all resources were evaluated as precisely as possible.]

[EN/ There were less dramatic situations in which the parents proposed their choice but the married candidates could appeal by renouncing the proposal.]

[EN/ The higher you climbed the social ladder, the more marriage took the form of a business, escaping the control of future spouses.]

MONDO, MODELLO, ESPERIMENTO E SIMULAZIONE.

[EN/ WORLD, MODEL, EXPERIMENT AND SIMULATION.]

[EN/ What is the relationship between physical reality and computer simulation?, Between the simulated world and the machine that performs the simulation? Simulation is a new way of experimenting that faces the complexity of the world with a new approach which, unlike the analytical approach, shortens the distance between the model and physical reality by favoring an iterative exploration. The main dimensions of simulation are the following: a) experiment and artificiality; b) visualization and interaction; c) exploratory plasticity.]

   a) Esperimento e artificialità.
[EN/ a) Experiment and artificiality. Simulation is an experimental practice that does not involve interventions in the real world, but takes place in a machine using a model, a formula, or an algorithm as a representation of the real world. The use of simulation is justified by the fact that sometimes the real experiment would not be feasible or would be risky. The model is a mathematical abstraction that can be computationally processed by a computer.]

  b) Visualizzazione e Interazione.
[EN/ b) Visualization and Interaction. The visualization supports the exploratory aspect of the simulation during the iterative loop that underlies the solution refinement process. The visualization in the simulation process allows the operator to interact and manipulate the model.]

The plasticity of a model is its ability to vary its behavior. Through this plasticity of the model, plasticity is also conferred within the simulation process. For example, in a neural network training simulation process, the back-propagation mechanism used to minimize the error constitutes to all effects the plasticity of the model, which adapts step by step to obtain the behavior desired.]

[EN/ Is a new approach to teaching and learning with the help of Lego bricks possible that can prepare today's young people for a world that is constantly changing? It has been realized that good academic performance does not always guarantee the necessary creative and innovative spirit necessary to be successful in today's society. Taking risks and trying new things are the skills required today to be successful.]

Because when children play with LEGO bricks, they are continually exploring, experimenting and probing the limits, developing creative thinking.]

[EN/ Today, the change and development of creative thinking is needed more than ever because the world of work, but also private life, is constantly and rapidly evolving.]

[EN/ The Europe of the wine and beer.]

[EN/ Another plant that, in addition to wheat, identifies Europe is the vine. And this has been true since antiquity, i.e. since wine was preserved and transported inside amphorae. And it was precisely the shards of these amphorae that allowed archaeologists to reconstruct the paths followed by the diffusion of this ancient drink.]

[EN/ Wine was highly appreciated for the euphoria it gave and became a real bargaining chip. It seems that some Gallic leaders did not hesitate to enslave one of their sons in exchange for an amphora of Greek or Italian wine.]

[EN/ Originally there were two different Europes as regards the predisposition to drink: there was a Europe which produced wine and drank it sparingly, and there was another Europe which, unable to produce wine, was forced to buy it from the first half producer. Well this second half, made up of Germans and Flemings, consumed enormous quantities of it, drinking until they got drunk. The two halves of Europe of wine supported each other because the two companies were effectively welded by trade.]

[EN/ But if we think of a drink widespread in Europe, in addition to wine, our thoughts turn to beer which was initially manufactured outside Europe, in Mesopotamia, in ancient Egypt and in China. Beer, once widespread in Europe, became the drink of the poor, as opposed to wine which remains the drink of the rich. Its production spread and prospered mainly in areas where the vine does not grow, such as England and Russia.]

LA RICCHEZZA DI CHI SA AUTO-PRODURRE.

[EN/ THE RICHNESS OF THOSE WHO ARE SELF-PRODUCING.]

[EN/ In countries where everything you need has to be bought, it is correct to evaluate poverty with purchasing power, i.e. with per capita daily income. Specifically, two dollars a day is generally considered the poverty line.]

[EN/ Instead, in a society where people are able to self-produce something, the measure of GDP is no longer reliable for validating poverty. Think, for example, of those who cultivate a personal vegetable garden, or of those who are able to self-procure wood for heating their home. The further advantage of self-production lies in being independent from variations in the world economy.]

[EN/ Currently, the countries where the per capita income is less than two euros are the non-industrialized countries. Considering these poor countries is a form of cultural colonialism to make them uniform to societies based on the production of goods, considered superior to the former by assumption.]

[EN/ But the truth is that two dollars a day makes you poor only if you have to buy everything you need to live. But if most goods are self-produced, then two dollars a day may be enough to buy the little that cannot be self-produced.]
