1. The poem "If —"

{La poesia "Se —"}

  "If—" is a poem by English Nobel laureate Rudyard Kipling (1865–1936), written circa 1895. The poem is written in the form of paternal advice to the poet's son, John who died at the front during World War I, in 1915. The poem contains a series of precepts and instructions on how to behave or, better, explains that the one who manages to achieve these behaviors is truly worthy of being called a Man.

  Curiosity: "If —" was translated and published in Italian language by Antonio Gramsci, with the title "Breviary for the laity", in the issue of "Avanti!" of December 17, 1916.

  {Se (in inglese If—) è una poesia del poeta inglese Joseph Rudyard Kipling (1865–1936) scritta nel 1895. La poesia è composta nella forma di un consiglio che l'autore rivolge al proprio figlio, John che morì al fronte durante la Prima Guerra Mondiale, nel 1915. La poesia contiene una serie di precetti e istruzioni su come comportarsi o, meglio, spiega che colui che riesca a conseguire questi comportamenti è davvero degno di essere chiamato Uomo.

  Curiosità: "Se —" fu tradotta in lingua italiana e pubblicata da Antonio Gramsci, col titolo "Breviario per laici", nel numero dell’Avanti! del 17 dicembre 1916.}

  In summary, you "truly become men" when you reach a stability and self-awareness such as not to lose your calm even when those around us are in a panic, or when you learn some "virtues" such as speaking, thinking, forgiving, loving , dreaming, taking risks, not being influenced, perseverance, always believing in ourselves, self-control, self-esteem, confidence, courage, self-control, tenacity and patience.

   We become men by becoming aware of ourselves, being in contact with others, having experiences, remaining well present to ourselves, keeping faith in what we do, in what we are.

  {In sintesi si “diventa davvero uomini” quando si raggiunge una stabilità e un’autocoscienza tali da non perdere la calma anche quando chi ci circonda è in preda al panico, oppure quando si imparano alcune “virtù” come parlare, pensare, perdonare, amare, sognare, rischiare, non farci condizionare, perseveranza, credere sempre in noi stessi, autocontrollo, autostima, fiducia, coraggio, dominio di sé, tenacia e pazienza.

6. Something about me, the founder and author of Tateo~Blog Project

First of all, thank you for visiting one of the pages of my blog. My name is Giovanni Battista Tateo (shortly Bat) and I am the founder and author of a project of Interdisciplinary Lifelong Learning of which the Tateo~Blog (:::) blog is the means of sharing. I was initially an Information Technology expert, and later I became an electronic engineer, specializing in industrial Automation. I'm passionate about Artificial intelligence, Virtual Reality, Simulation, and I'm an expert in Artificial Vision applied to industrial Automation. Currently, and starting four years ago, I am employed as a Proposal Engineer at Mer Mec S.p.A. (:::) company. Previously, starting in 2004, I was employed, always at the same company, as a Designer of Artificial Vision Systems and Image Processing Algorithms, applied in particular to Railway Diagnostics. Mi chiamo Giovanni Battista Tateo (brevemente Bat) e sono il fondatore e l'autore di un progetto Lifelong Learning Interdisciplinare di cui il blog Tateo~Blog (:::) ne è il mezzo di condivisione. Sono stato in principio un esperto di Informatica, e in seguito sono diventato un Ingegnere Elettronico, specializzato in Automazione Industriale. Sono un appassionato di Intelligenza Artificiale, Realtà Virtuale, Simulazione, e sono un esperto di Visione Artificiale applicata all'Automazione Industriale.
